Terms and conditions for using the Plonjeo platform

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Plonjeo ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. Plonjeo is a booking facilitator platform connecting divers with certified dive centers in Mauritius.
2. Platform Services
Plonjeo operates as a booking facilitator, not a dive operator. We provide:
- Real-time availability search for dive experiences
- Instant booking confirmation system
- Secure payment processing through MIPS and Juice
- QR code verification for dive attendance
- Customer support for booking-related inquiries
3. Booking and Payment Terms
3.1 Booking Process
- All bookings are subject to availability confirmation from dive centers
- Prices include a 6% tourist service fee for international visitors
- Local residents receive a 30% discount when paying with Juice
- Bookings require QR code verification for attendance confirmation
3.2 Payment Processing
- International payments processed through MIPS gateway
- Local payments available through Juice payment system
- Payments are processed at time of booking
- Dive centers receive payment after completed dives (6 PM daily settlement)
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Customers
- Cancellations more than 24 hours before dive time: Full refund
- Cancellations within 24 hours: Subject to dive center policy
- No-shows without QR verification: No refund
4.2 Cancellation by Dive Centers
- Weather-related cancellations: Full refund or free rescheduling
- Equipment or safety issues: Full refund or alternative booking
- Emergency cancellations: Full refund within 3-5 business days
5. User Responsibilities
5.1 Divers
- Provide accurate information about diving experience and certification levels
- Arrive on time with valid identification
- Follow all safety instructions from dive centers
- Complete QR code verification for attendance
5.2 Dive Centers
- Maintain current certifications and insurance
- Update availability in real-time
- Honor confirmed bookings
- Provide safe, professional diving services
6. Safety and Liability
Important: Plonjeo is a booking platform only. All diving activities are conducted by independent dive centers. Dive centers are solely responsible for:
- Diver safety assessment and certification verification
- Equipment provision and maintenance
- Dive planning and execution
- Emergency response and medical assistance
- Insurance coverage for diving activities
7. Seasonal Operations
Plonjeo operates on a seasonal model aligned with Mauritius tourism patterns:
- Peak Season (December-April): Full platform capacity with enhanced support
- Development Season (May-November): Regular operations with platform improvements
- Platform scaling and pricing may vary based on seasonal demand
8. Data Protection and Privacy
We are committed to protecting your personal information:
- Data stored in EU-compliant Supabase infrastructure
- Personal information used only for booking and safety purposes
- Payment data processed securely through certified gateways
- Marketing communications require explicit consent
9. Intellectual Property
The Plonjeo platform, including its design, functionality, and content, is protected by intellectual property laws. Users may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.
10. Platform Availability
While we strive for 99.9% uptime, platform availability may be affected by:
- Scheduled maintenance (announced in advance)
- Third-party service disruptions
- Force majeure events
- Security updates or emergency fixes
11. Dispute Resolution
11.1 Customer Service
For booking-related issues, contact our support team at hello@plonjeo.com. We aim to resolve all inquiries within 24 hours.
11.2 Escalation Process
- Initial contact with dive center for service-related issues
- Plonjeo mediation for booking and payment disputes
- Formal dispute resolution through Mauritius legal system if required
12. Prohibited Uses
Users may not:
- Make false bookings or provide fraudulent information
- Attempt to circumvent the platform for direct bookings
- Use automated systems to scrape or access the platform
- Share login credentials or booking confirmations
- Engage in any activity that could harm platform security
13. Modifications to Terms
Plonjeo reserves the right to modify these terms with 30 days notice to users. Continued use of the platform after modification constitutes acceptance of new terms.
14. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of Mauritius.
